Proceedings of the Trustees of the Lynchburg Corporation formed in 1787 to establish the city, and of a later governing body the Common Council [manuscript] 1787-1850.

These are the original official records of the city of Lynchburg and relate to the sale of John Lynch's land, sold for the purpose of establishing the city; a plat map giving street names and lot locations; and such administrative problems as street improvements, water supply, poor relief, location of the powder magazine, and the proposed budget for 1828, which was estimated at $5,000.
